4 hours. 4 freaking late-night hours...
Anyway, this is part 1 of my giftart package to FF.net writing buddy, Weener1. He is a big fan of my work and I am a big fan of his. He has done a lot in the Koyomiko sub-fandom, like writing this interesting piece -- "Helix" . If you like sci-fi, want to read something new in Azu besides the normal little humor skits and fluffy and/or dramatic shoujo-ai tales...you might like this story. Though I guess the only warning would be a freaky descriptive chapter towards the end as well as you need a mind that can keep up with some parts...  So, here we have Mini-Poster 1 (of 4) promoting his fic...even though it's already over. Yeah, I took forever to get these done, but he deserves these giftarts NOW. Completely done on computer (SCREW THE SCANNING! I'll just look off my notebook paper and make something CLOSE to what I drew!), this shows the first of four (and half of the main) conflicts in this fic: Tomo and Yomi, their ominous daughter Koyomiko (who is supposedly 7 in the fic, so I drew her taller/older-looking than usual), and Dagon (well THE Dagon; the name was also used as the name of the alien race). In the background, an eerily bright, red moon is peeking through dark clouds on a black (not night-black; like, actual black) sky...If you've been reading the fic, you know what that's a reference to... Some parts were harder than others to draw/color here. Dagon's skin (this was the closest I could get to his description), Koyomiko's makeshift clothing (I tried my best to "show" how it looked on her...  ), the title (DNA doesn't look good as a background, so I just drew a plain double helix; and a tetrahelix was just WAY too hard)...So...this poster here took me until 3AM to complete. 3AM. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Our objective is to recognise deviants who deserve more recognition and to feature deviations with less than 10 original comments.
